The Ancient Crest of Cobalt is a Pre-Hardmode weapon found in the Jungle that summons an Ancient Cobalt Squire to fight for the player. It drops from Man Eaters with an 12% chance, and any Hornet variant with a 4% chance. The summoned ancient cobalt squire will stick close to the player at all times, and automatically shoot a continuous stream of projectiles resembling those of the Aqua Scepter towards the cursor while its item is in use. Like other squires, the summoned ancient cobalt squire is invincible and follows the player for an unlimited amount of time, unless the player dies, summons a replacement squire, or cancels the buff.
Its best modifier is Mythical for the widest array of set bonuses, or Ruthless for the highest damage output.
