Using the Bone Serpent to attack an enemy
The Bone Serpent Staff is a early-hardmode weapon that summons a miniature Bone Serpent to fight for you. It is dropped by the Wall of Flesh with a 25% chance. Unlike other worm-type minions, The summoned serpent will swim through the ground to attack enemies, jumping into the air to hit flying enemies. It cannot fly indefinitely. Summoning additional copies of this minion will add additional vertebrae, increasing its damage and attack speed. Like other minions, the summoned bone serpent is invincible and follows the player for an unlimited amount of time, unless the player dies, summons a replacement minion, or cancels the buff.
Its best modifier is Mythical for the widest array of set bonuses, or Ruthless for the highest damage output.
