The Soul Reaper is a Hardmode weapon. The Scythe heals the player every time it hits an enemy, it also releases the soul of the enemy when the enemy is killed. The soul flies upward to the sky and then homes into the nearest enemy and then explodes.

The Soul Reaper was first introduced in the very first festive update of the mod and was intended to be removed after the holiday was over, but instead it was not removed and kept in the game.
