Frostbite is a Pre-Hardmode boss fought after King Slime has been defeated.

While Frostbite is alive, the music Frigid Feud will play.

Summoning

Frostbite does not spawn on its own and is summoned by using an Icy Lure.

Behavior

All these attacks below are in a fixed pattern, then repeats.

Frostbite charges at the player then breathes a stream of frostfire in a straight line in front of him.

Frostbite Launches a barrage of icicles that are affected by gravity.

Frostbite jumps then emits a bunch of frost fire balls upon landing

Frostbite slams his tail summoning 2 Frozen Totems which occasionally emit frost fire balls.

Frostbite breathes out an ice ball which moves fast and homes in slightly.

Frostbite summons a frost cloud raining icicles while above the player which lasts for the whole fight. This attack can't be repeated more than once.

Lore

Unusual living situations have always lead to strange adaptations in the past. Frostbite is the latest proof of this. Hundreds of years ago, the ice beast's ancestors, who were just normal lizards, resided in an ordinary forest. But one day, the legendary battle between the Draconian Gods and Cosmodod began, and the resulting war included perhaps the biggest explosions of power and magic the world had ever seen.

One day, one of Cosmodod's spells backfired, turning what was originally a freezing self-aura into an icy bomb capable of plummeting an entire area into an eternal ice age. The spell landed in the forest in which the lizards resisted, and the result was near-immediate. However, the lizards persisted against all odds, eventually evolving to better survive in the frigid environment, almost turning into a completely new species. Frostbite himself is only the latest member in this bizarre ecological miracle, and just like the others, will fight to survive until his dying breath.
