Eternity Mode Eye of Cthulhu is a pre-Hardmode boss. It is a more powerful version of the Eye of Cthulhu with more attacks and new behavior.
Behavior[edit | edit source]
Eye of Cthulhu's main behavior focuses on dashes and spawning accelerating .png){kind=small}
Moon Sickles.
Phase 1[edit | edit source]
Eye of Cthulhu tries to stay above the player while spawning fast .png){kind=small}
Servants of Cthulhu that have 60 HP. It then dashes 3 times towards the player, and repeats the cycle.
Under 65% health, Eye of Cthulhu enters phase 2, transforming into a mouth.
Phase 2[edit | edit source]
Eye of Cthulhu dashes more aggressively, but no longer spawns servants. Its chain dashes emit accelerating Moon Sickles and an eight-directional spread of sickles where it began each dash. After finishing a set of chain dashes, it teleports to the other side of the player and does another set of chain dashes, repeating the cycle.
Under 6% health, Eye of Cthulhu enters phase 3.
Phase 3[edit | edit source]
Eye of Cthulhu teleports to one of 4 corners around the player and then does an extremely fast set of zigzag Moon Sickle chain dashes. These dashes cannot be outrun and can only be dodged by predicting the safe spots between them. It repeats this pattern until dawn or it is defeated.

Notes[edit | edit source]
- Eye of Cthulhu drops an Eye That Could Be Seen As Suspicious on spawn if it hasn't been defeated yet.
- If Eater of Worlds or Brain of Cthulhu is defeated, Eye of Cthulhu can naturally spawn at nighttime.
Tips[edit | edit source]
- Every time it teleports, Eye of Cthulhu positions itself so that it will ram the player if they stay still. Conversely, moving slightly is enough for the player to avoid contact damage.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- If the Eternity Mode Recolors option is turned on in the Mod Configurations menu, it resembles a True Eye of Cthulhu.
