Not to be confused with Lightning Rod, an Eternity Mode debuff.

The Lightning Rod is a craftable pre-hardmode melee weapon. When used, it'll slowly spin itself around the player and will spin faster the more it's used, until it's finally thrown at the cursor's position, returning shortly afterwards. While it's thrown, it will deal less damage the more it hits. This effect resets every time it returns to the player. It will also rain down bolts of lightning that follow the path it went through.

Its best modifier is Godly.
