The Barbarian is a Mini Boss that appears during The Horde.
Spawn[ | ]
The Barbarian spawns during The Horde after Golem has been defeated. This can happen at any time during the event. The Barbarian cannot be summoned manually using in-game items. Multiple Barbarians may be present at once.
If he is not defeated by the time the event ends, he will walk away like other nighttime enemies.
Behavior[ | ]
The Barbarian will act similarly to a zombie until spotting the player. Once spotted, the Barbarian will rapidly charge the player, dealing increased damage and greatly boosting his defense.
If the player strays too far or leaves line of sight, he will attempt to flush the player out of hiding by rapidly throwing barbaric javelins at the player. These javelins go through tiles and deal a high amount of damage, as well as inflicting the Hemorrhage debuff, which greatly slows the player and makes dodging more difficult.

- If you log out while the Barbarian is spawned, he will despawn like normal enemies.
Tips[ | ]
- The Barbarian's javelins are particularly crippling and should be avoided. To do this, stay near enough to the Barbarian so that it charges instead of using its javelin attack.
- Wings or other high mobility items are useful to use against this mini boss, but be careful not to go too high as this will trigger his javelin attack.
