The Sword of the Universe is a craftable Expert Mode post-Moon Lord Weapon that has 9 interchangeable forms. The player will have to beat almost every boss in the vanilla game to craft this weapon. This weapon requires additionally a lot of time investment, by many considered worth it.
When swung, it shoots projectiles that pierce through tiles. It has very large swing radius and projectiles. When striking an enemy with either the sword or the projectile, it has a chance to inflict Midas, Ichor, Frostburn, On Fire!, Poisoned, and Cursed Inferno.
The player is able to switch between the nine forms through crafting.
Each form of the sword shoots its own respective color and shape as its projectile. The GIF on the bottom demonstrates this as the projectile color coming from the Green Sword is also Green. Gif missing?
Its best modifier is Legendary.
Note that when changing the forms of the weapon, it automatically also changes any modifiers that are already applied. Conversely, this can also be used to apply the desired modifier without the use of coins.
