The Gensokyo Mod adds 15 new bosses, divided into seven difficulty Tiers.

Pre-Hardmode Bosses[edit | edit source]

Tier 1[edit | edit source]

Tier 1 bosses can be defeated with early-game equipment. Their fights consist of three stages.

Lily White[edit | edit source]

Lily White is a fairy that heralds the coming of spring. She has 2,600 health (3,640 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using a Flower Bouquet at day.

Rumia[edit | edit source]

Rumia is the youkai of the dusk. She has 2,300 health (3,220 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using Meat of Questionable Origin at night. If she is not defeated by dawn (4:30 am), she will despawn.

Eternity Larva[edit | edit source]

Eternity Larva is a swallowtail butterfly fairy. She is the most durable Tier 1 boss, with 2,800 health (3,920 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using a Yellow Swallowtail Butterfly at day.


Tier 2[edit | edit source]

Tier 2 bosses should be tackled using late Pre-Hardmode equipment. Their fights consist of three stages.

Hina Kagiyama[edit | edit source]

Hina Kagiyama is a misfortune goddess with 5,500 health (7,700 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using a Nagashi-bina Doll.

Sekibanki[edit | edit source]

Sekibanki is a rokurokubi youkai. She has 7500 health (10,500 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using the Abnormally Long Spine at night.


Hardmode Bosses[edit | edit source]

Tier 3[edit | edit source]

Tier 3 bosses should be tackled using early Hardmode equipment. Their fights consist of four stages.

Nitori Kawashiro[edit | edit source]

Nitori Kawashiro is a kappa engineer. She has 16,800 health (25,200 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using an Experimental Transmitter.

Medicine Melancholy[edit | edit source]

Medicine Melancholy is an abandoned doll that has come to life and gained the power to control all kinds of poisons. She has 15,600 health (23,400 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using Black Bile.

Cirno[edit | edit source]

Cirno is a powerful fairy of ice. She has 16,300 health (24450 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using Shimmering Snowflake in the surface tundra.


Tier 4[edit | edit source]

Tier 4 bosses are intended to be fought after the Mechanical Bosses. Their fights consist of four stages.

Minamitsu Murasa[edit | edit source]

Minamitsu Murasa is a Ship Phantom with 24,000 health (36,000 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using an Shipwreck's Anchor at the ocean.

Alice Margatroid[edit | edit source]

Alice Margatroid is a magician who specializes in controlling dolls. She has 21200 (31,800 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned with a Suspicious Looking Doll.


Tier 5[edit | edit source]

Tier 5 bosses are intended to be fought after Plantera. Their fights consist of five stages.

Sakuya Izayoi[edit | edit source]

Sakuya Izayoi is the maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. She has 38,000 health (57,750 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using a Jack of Spades anywhere on the surface.

Seija Kijin is an amanojaku youkai with 41,000 health (61,500 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned using the Manifesto of the Revolution.

Mayumi Joutouguu[edit | edit source]

Mayumi Joutouguu is the head of the haniwa army corps that protects the Primate Spirit Garden. She has with 36,000 health (54,500 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned using a Clay Idol.


Tier 6[edit | edit source]

Tier 6 bosses are intended to be fought after the Golem. Their fights have six stages.

Toyosatomimi no Miko[edit | edit source]

Toyosatomimi no Miko is a Taoist immortal. She has 70,000 health (105,000 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using the Ancient Sigil.

Kaguya Houraisan[edit | edit source]

Kaguya Houraisan is an exiled Lunarian princess. She has 75,000 health (112,500 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using a Blooming Udonge Plant during the night.


Tier 7[edit | edit source]

Tier 7 bosses are about as difficult as the Moon Lord. Their fights have seven stages.

Utsuho Reiuji[edit | edit source]

Utsuho Reiuji is a hell raven who has attained the power to control nuclear fusion. She has 133,000 health (199,500 in Expert Mode). She can be summoned by using a Charged Solar Fragment near the Subterranean Sun. If no new world was generated for the playthrough (and the Subterranean Sun mini-biome does not exist), she can instead be summoned anywhere in the Underworld. She will not follow players out of the Underworld and will despawn instead.

Minibosses[edit | edit source]

Minibosses may be encountered at random while exploring the world. Unlike other bosses, they cannot be spawned at will.

Kisume[edit | edit source]

Kisume is a tsurube-otoshi youkai, waiting to drop on unsuspecting prey from above. She has 1500 health (2100 in Expert Mode). Players may be ambushed by her upon triggering a trap in the underground.
