Medicine Melancholy is a Tier 3 Hardmode boss.
Spawn[ | ]
Medicine does not spawn naturally. Instead, she can be summoned using Black Bile.
Behavior[ | ]
Medicine alternates between a movement phase and a stationary phase. She uses one of four spellcards, depending on her remaining health. Unless mentioned otherwise, she only attacks during the stationary phase.
- Poison Sign "Melancholy Poison": Medicine shoots several poison orbs at the player. After a short delay, these orbs explode into stationary poisonous clouds, and Medicine shoots a wave of poisonous petals in all directions.
- Confusion "Into Delirium": Medicine shoots poison orbs in all directions, creating a circle of poison clouds around herself. She then shoots bullets in all directions; while hidden by the poison clouds, the bullets become larger and have their speed increased.
- Doll Sign "Broken Doll": During both movement and stationary phase, Medicine shoots bullets in a spiralling pattern. Shortly after the start of this phase, her doll begins emitting poison clouds and starts chasing the player.
- "Poisoned Heart": Medicine shoots multiple salvos of poison orbs, covering a large area with poisonous clouds. Meanwhile, she targets the player with a stream of normal bullets.
