The Silver Throwing Knives are a Hardmode melee weapon that autofires a spread of five projectiles at no mana or ammunition cost. The knives are not affected by gravity and, upon hitting a tile for the first time, will bounce off rather than being destroyed; on the second tile collision, the projectile is destroyed. The knives deal massively increased damage against vampires and werewolves (which includes players in the werewolf form if PvP is enabled).

The Silver Throwing Knives' alternate attack shoots 18 knives at once at a higher velocity. The cooldown of the alternate attack is 5 seconds.
