The Neon Tyrant is a Pre-Hardmode boss that is the Glory Mod equivalent of King Slime. Its appearance is that of a massive Neon Slime.

The boss spawns under the same following conditions as its Vanilla counterpart:

• A player uses a Slime Crown.
• 150 slimes are defeated during the Slime Rain event (or 75 if Neon Tyrant was already slain in the world at least once).
• Completely by itself in the outer sixths of the map, on grass and during the daytime. This, however, is quite rare.

Behavior

Neon Tyrant doesnt initially fight on its own, it first introduces the Orange Noble Slime, upon its defeat, Neon Tyrant fights and uses the same attack in a stronger fashion, the Noble slime showed. This will happen 3 more times, once for each of the 4 Noble Slimes, which will spawn one after another. Neon Tyrant will not fight while a Noble slime is present. Neon Tyrant will not forget the introduced attacks and keeps using them for the rest of the fight.

Trivia

• Neon, what this boss is based on, is a real-life element. It glows red-orange when placed in an electric field, hence the boss's color.
