Hold attack to charge a great slash! Unleash it forward while dashing for a long ranged dash slash! Unleash it while holding up or down for a spin attack!
The Coiled Nail is a Hardmode melee weapon and one of the upgrades to the Old Nail. It has all of the same abilities as it's previous iteration, but now it is able to be charged into a "cyclone slash" spin attack. This deals less damage than it's charged frontal "great slash" attack, and it's dashing variant, but it has extra coverage on both sides of the player.
This nail art is much more useful when dealing with crowds of enemies, although the dashing variant of the charged frontal slash attack is preferred, as it deals higher damage and still has just as much, if not more coverage than the spin attack.
