“Ya know those Cactoid things in the desert? Well they got a leader now. I'm pretty sure it's conspiring to destroy us all! Find it and slay it!
The Flowering Cactoid is a Hunt found in the surface desert. When it spawns, it is accompanied by at most two Cactoids and four Cactites. The Flowering Cactoid will become aggressive when you get near, causing all other nearby Cactoids to become hostile as well. The Flowering Cactoid mostly flies at the player, but will occasionally stop to cross its arms, begin rapidly turning yellow and shaking.
Run and take cover when this happens, as after four seconds it will unleash a two-way flurry of needles that ignore defense. The Flowering Cactoid's defense also rises to over 250 while charging and unleashing this attack.
