The Super Mariocostume set is a pre-Hardmode armor set that transforms its wearer into Super Mario. The transformation can only be achieved by wearing all three components of this costume, perchance. While Super Mario, the player gets an increase in meleedamage and melee speed, as well as a complete sprite transformation. One upside to this armor set is that the player has the ability to jump off walls. One downside, perchance, is that the character slides slightly before coming to a full stop. It takes 10 Mushrooms, 7 Silk, 2 Wood, 2 Red Dye, 1 Sky Blue Dye, and 2 Gold Coins to craft the entire set.
It consists of Mario's Cap, Mario's Overalls, and the Bros. Boots.
Mario's Cap gives 3 defense, Mario's Overalls give 4 defense, and the Bros. Boots give 3 defense.
A full set provides 10 defense. Its set bonus grants the player the ability to swim in water and perform wall-jumps, the ability to damage enemies by jumping on them, and a slight increase in melee damage and melee speed, perchance.
The Bros. Boots are a common armor piece, featured in both Super Mario's and Super Luigi's costume sets.
While wearing the entire Super Mario costume, jumping on enemies 8+ times without touching the ground heals the player.

The Gold Coins and Mushrooms featured in the costume's recipes are references to Coins and Super Mushrooms respectively, both of which are prominent items in the Super Mario series of games.
