The Traveller is a Town NPC added in the Pinkymod who is very important for the mod's progression . To move in, there must be an empty house and "ATOGAM" must be enabled in the mod config.

When first interacting with the traveller he will have a short conversation introducing himself and telling the player about how they can travel to locations outside of the world.

Conversation[ | ]

  • Hello there, I was just checking out this settlement of yours. The name is Traveller's Name, nice to meet you.
  • I am a wanderer of sorts. I travel from land to land, and have seen lots of things back in the day. I've never been to these Paradox Islands before, so I took by boat to your little land. Such a quaint little place.
  • Anyways, it's been nice talking to you, I'm just going to take a look around town, see what goes on. Even in quiet countries, there are many unseen and unheard adventures going on, and that is what I live for!
  • Oh and, if you see any mysterious artifacts or strange objects that I may be interested in, do show them to me. Who knows, they could lead to new adventures, and as a reward I'll bring you along with me!

The Traveller's Map

Locations[ | ]

Locations
Name Description Map Description
Cathedral of the Moon A rundown cathedral on a small island previously owned the lunar cult, The Medium lives here watching over the ancient seal and where the player will start they're main quest. (once it is added) It is unlocked by showing the Mysterious Coordinates to the Traveller. A seemingly insignificant island yet unmarked on my map, said to be the site of an old moon cathedral. I do not see any obvious adventures to be had there.
Desert Town of Eitd Abandoned town on the coast of the war-torn Great Desert, where the player battles The Sunlight Trader. It is unlocked by showing a Sunswept Egg to the traveller. A town in the desert abandoned to war. While I do not fancy an active warzone, there is no doubt that there is indeed something adventurous there. I do not want to run into whatever laid the egg, though.
The Twilight Islands The ancestral homelands of the Dryads, protected by a magic barrier before they were wiped out by their own creations the Kobblins aside from one Dryad. Now overgrown and heavily guarded by various forms of living plant matter. It is unlocked by showing the Singing Stone to the Traveller. Ancestral home of the Dryad Order. It is seeped in powerful Magicka, and most probably amazing adventures.
Paradox Islands The normal world of the player, It is always unlocked so that they can return whenever they want. A network of an infinite number of islands, all bound to their own causality. It is a place where the slain may Respawn, and most importantly, where the adventures are limitless!
Sanchon Mining Facility A colossal mining operation once owned by the Sanchon Mining corporation, where highly valuable and rapidly growing crystals were discovered. But after several tunnel collapses and many deaths it was closed down, though rumour had it that there was a much bigger reason behind the decision. It is unlocked by showing a Crystalline Wayfinder to the traveller. Site of an abandoned mine once owned by the Sanchon Mining Corporation. It hides untold riches, and most likely also untold adventure.

Quotes[ | ]

  • Travelling the world is such a rewarding and amazing experience. Once in a while, settling down is good, though.
  • There was news of a mine collapse due to supernatural forces a while back. Everyone was super into-it, but now, the news are all but forgotten. I can only hope that the miners rest in peace, and pray that whatever got them will stay in the mine it collapsed.
  • Do you know about Varitide's Palace? Tales have it that out there, a legendary undersea palace exists. I would love to see it one day, as well as maybe chat with the supposed ferocious Merfolk Warriors the guard it. Maybe.
  • There's an old building called the Dungeon, which now stands in semi-ruin. Many treasure hunters, thrill seekers and even fellow adventurers have gone to seek it out, but none have returned. Honestly? I don't think the treasures down there are that worth it. Perhaps it was sealed away and protected so vehemently for a reason...
  • You know Mr Tyfyr Vadabin? The ex-King? I actually met him once when I was a child. He was so kind and nice. Sadly, he was driven out by revolutionaries due to the faults of his parents and grandparents doing. Today, he is nowhere to be found. A sad end for a brilliant man.
  • In the far north of Mainland Terraria, a large chunk of ice drifts. I had once tried to go there. No, it wasn't the cold that drove me back. It was something else, like a dark presence beyond even the Corruption...
  • The world of Terraria is an endless ocean dotted with islands. Many haven't been explored. That's just the islands in the Mainland Region - not even in the Paradox Islands where you live!
  • There are records of airship crew that stumbled upon a magnificent floating rock formation up there somewhere. They claim the breeze is fresh enough to revive the dead and is the last hideout for the endangered True Wyvern. Oh, if only I had an Airship...
  • The Paradox Islands are a strange place where everything is possible. Th Dead can come back and there is always a dungeon on every one of your islands . Apparently, they were the doing of some weird developer dude.
  • I came from the Terrarian city of Hallowstone. I wasn't contented with life there - a rat race where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. So I saved up and bought my small boat and left to see the world. As far as I have seen, Hallowstone is heaven compared to some other places.
  • You know that Merchant? He claims he has extra dirty dirt blocks. Well, whaddya know - he has none! (Only if the Merchant is present)
  • I used to consider training as a Guide before becoming a traveller and adventurer. I realized the dark truth - those guys have no conscious clue what they are talking about! (Only if the Guide is present)
  • I never understood Name of Party Girl and her love for parties. I feel no joy from it. The only thing that makes me feel alive of course, is adventure! (Only if the Party Girl is present)
  • I owe my life to nurses like Name of Nurse. Without the Medical Corps, I would have been skeleton food long ago. (Only if the Nurse is present)
  • Apologies my friend, but I don't see anything of my interest in your possession...
  • When given the Singing Stone:
    • This strange Stone. I heard tales of it. It's an artifact of the dryads from their golden ages, when they practically ran an Empire. More specifically, it hails from their old homeland - the Twilight Islands.
    • Named because they are shrouded in eternal twilight, they have always remained an interest for me. Moreover, everyone knows the location of the Islands, only, there WAS one problem.
    • During their heyday, the Dryads cast an islandwide spell that prevented anyone not affiliated with them from reaching the place. The one exception to this rule is those the Dryads trusted. They would be given the Singing Stone, which allows them passage through the veil.
    • Though the Dryads are gone, their spell persists. Nevertheless, since now we have a Singing Stone of our own, I believe we can finally see what hides away in the Islands. This will be an adventure few can experience, I can barely wait! On your command, we set sail.
  • When given the Mysterious Coordinates:
    • Oh my! How mysterious! These coordinates are very strange indeed. Wait, let me mark it out on my map...
    • Here, it seems to point to some random insignificant place. But who knows! This is a calling to ADVENTURE!
    • My thanks. As promised, you can come along if you like. Just ask me when the time is right, and I'll take you there on my boat.
  • When given the Sunswept Egg:
    • Now this is quite the egg. Very peculiar indeed! Thank you for this amazing discovery.
    • I have traced the egg's origin by comparing it with uh, highly detailed sources. Totally not by reading the text inscribed on the bottom left.
    • The egg's origin is some seemingly insignificant small desert town facing the Southwestern Coast off the Mainland. Now if you know, that place is one battered by conflict. Ever since I was born, the Great Desert has been the site of over twelve insurgencies and counting.
    • Anyways, you do get the idea right? Prepare for some rough times when we do set sail. It will be a risky adventure. I suspect if the rebels don't kill us first, then whoever laid the egg would want to have a word with us.
    • Oh well. That ain't something that will put me off adventure! We'll depart on your command!
  • When given the Crystalline Wayfinder:
    • Most marvelous! This Geode is brimming with crystals of all sorts! It doesn't take a profit-eyed Miner or a devout gemologist to get excited over this!
    • Now, if I had not known better, I would have sold this thing and shared the profit or something. But this is quite peculiar indeed. There appears to be a date carving down here...
    • Hmm, I think I understand. This Crystal is property of... uh... 'Sanchon Mining Corporation's. They were the ones that went big in the news due to their gigantic profit from their new mineshaft.
    • Of course, good things never last. Their mine was abandoned after a few fatal cave collapses made the company decide it was too insecure to continue mining up.
    • Well, I ain't going for the gems - you know me. I am going for the adventure! I'm sure there will be a fence or a seal or two, but since when have those stopped a wanderlust adventurer like you and I?
  • When arriving at The Twilight Islands:
    • Woo! We are here! ADVENTURE! Now, this place is so saturated with natural energies, even a man without magic can feel it.
    • You go on ahead first. I need a moment to take in all these vibes. It truly is... Astounding, to finally be in a place where most adventurers only dream of visiting.
    • Oh, and thank you so much for giving me the opportunity, I would never have stumbled across a Singing Stone myself. I foresee great adventures to be had in our future.
  • When arriving at the Cathedral of the Moon:
    • Well, here we are! I don't smell anything overly adventurous, which is good actually. Smell is the last thing that should be adventurous.
    • Anyways, this place looks just like any other island. 'Cept for that one big cathedral over the hill. You go ahead first, and be careful!
  • When arriving at the Desert Town of Eitd:
  • When arriving at the Sanchon Mining Facility:
  • When leaving The Twilight Islands:
  • When leaving the Cathedral of the Moon:
    • Woah, so you met some cool cultist dude? Who made you go on a quest to save the world? Wow! I would like none of these, but too bad, I am now dragged into this cliched saga.
    • No worries. I live for adventures, and this seems like an opportunity that when capitalised on properly, can lead us to many new adventures! Though, for the most part, you'll have to be the one facing down the baddies.
    • Oh and, I might go back and meet that cultist dude someday. He seems like an interesting fella from what you said. Perhaps he has some adventurous tales of going on pilgrimages to isolated temples!
  • When leaving the Desert Town of Eitd:
  • When leaving the Sanchon Mining Facility:
