The Echo Staff is a Pre-Hardmode magic weapon that is dropped by the Gigabat. It fires an echo projectile that deals no damage, but inflicts a special debuff that causes any damage afflicted enemies take to have a 50% increased critical strike chance. This is very powerful for the entire game, especially in combination with low-power, fast-firing weapons like the Minishark, and can even allow summon weapons to crit. However, the weapon has a one-second use time and the debuff lasts for five seconds, so it is best used with minions and sentries or long-lasting projectiles like those of the Desolate Winds.
The weapon cannot receive modifiers because of the zero damage value it has.

- The Echo Staff is one of several weapons in the Polarities Mod that has a zero damage value, which is hidden from the item's hover text.
- The other zero damage weapons are: Discorb, Observer Orb, and Chaos Shot.
