The Salt Knife is a Pre-Hardmode melee weapon crafted from Salt Crystals. When used, it creates a unique knife projectile pointing in the direction of the player's cursor that acts similarly to a shortsword, waving around slowly and hitting enemies in its way about every half-second. Up to five Salt Knives can be stacked into one slot, allowing the player to use multiple knives at once with a slight delay between each one that creates a spinning whirl of blades. They can be held out infinitely, making them useful against slow-moving basic enemies like Slimes or Zombies.
