Imperious is a Hardmode boss available after beating any of the Mechanical Bosses.
While Imperious is alive, the music Blade of a God will play.
Summoning[ | ]
Imperious does not spawn on its own and must be summoned with the Icon of the Conquerer.
It might glitch out and dissappear which will get rid of the summon item
Behavior[ | ]
Imperious alternates between a series of attacks in a semi-randomized pattern.
- Sways back and forth while moving towards the player, lunging quickly whenever the tip of the blade is pointing at them.
- Spins at the player, calling down a diagonal rain of smaller swords.
- Stabs into the ground, shaking the screen, and causes several waves of massive blades to erupt from the ground. These blades are telegraphed by red warning beams.
Below 50% HP, Imperious gains a dark tint and starts exclusively using the following attacks.
- Flies very high into the air and summons four rings of 7 massive phantom blades around the player, which slowly converge on them. Imperious will take the place of the top blade in the last ring and emerge once the ring converges.
- Repeats its first attack but also leaves behind damaging afterimages while moving.
