The Mod of Redemption adds a plethora of new weapons and equipment for all classes, including its new Druid class, to use throughout the game. Redemption also adds many difficult Boss encounters and other situations in which class builds should be optimized in order to efficiently succeed. This is a guide that will show recommended weapon and equipment builds for each of the five classes at various points in the game's progression.
- Note that this guide will pertain only to Mod of Redemption equipment. For a list of equipment from vanilla Terraria, please refer to this guide.
WARNING: This guide is outdated as of the 1.4 release of this mod as there have been many changes and the Druid class no longer exists.
Pre-bosses[ | ]
Start as you normally would - gather materials for building, build a couple of houses, increase your maximum health, obtain basic weaponry and optionally prepare the summoning items for your first Boss encounter. Rare weapons are possible to obtain at this point, but have been omitted as most are unnecessary and not worth grinding for at this stage of the game.

Pre-Mechanical bosses[ | ]
Upon entering Hardmode, you now have access to a wide variety of equipment for each class. At this point in time, it becomes almost mandatory to pick a specific class. Many accessories will only benefit a certain class, and armor sets start to benefit only certain types of damage.
Pre-King Slayer III[ | ]
After defeating the mechanical bosses and the three mini-bosses of the Abandoned Lab you will want to turn your attention to King Slayer III. Though he is an optional boss that can be fought at any stage, it is advised you fight him before Plantera as he can provide many useful items for all classes, most of which become obsolete in further stages of the game.

Pre-Vlitch Overlords[ | ]
Every class gets a major power boost after defeating Plantera thanks to the introduction of Hikarite Alloy, a crafting material that requires Ectoplasm from the dungeon, which can be used to craft armor for each vanilla class. After defeating the Golem you will want to prepare for the first two Vlitch Overlords as they will provide powerful weapons as well as the materials needed to create Girus armor, the best possible pre-Lunar Event armor for the four vanilla classes. You should make clearing the Martian Madness event your priority as you will want to get your hands on Cosmic Car Key for the Overlords. The Second Vlitch Overlord is a very difficult battle, but can be overturned easily if you come prepared with weapons that deal AoE splash damage such as Aerial Bane or Angelic Fan.
Pre-Moon Lord[ | ]
After defeating the Vlitch Overlords and crafting all the necessary equipment, you will want to head straight for the Lunatic Cultist and start clearing the Lunar Events. After defeating the Celestial Pillars, you will want to craft some weapons out of Lunar Fragments before challenging the Moon Lord.
Pre-Patient Zero[ | ]
Using Luminite you are now able to craft Raw Xenium, a crafting material used in the recipes of weapons and armor for all classes. Though armor obtained from the Lunar Events may prove more beneficial overall, it is best to use Xenium armor while revisiting the Abandoned Lab. It is recommended you craft the Keycard and loot the Lab Chests in the Abandoned Lab in order to gain extra Luminite and Xenium as well as powerful weapons before tackling the Third Vlitch Overlord.
Pre-Nebuleus[ | ]
Upon defeating Patient Zero your Underworld will be filled with Unrefined Shinkite, a material which can create unique items depending on your world evil. Shinkite armor does not offer many class-specific stats, making it versatile and viable for almost any class. This new armor set will come in handy for your battle with the Ancient Deity Duo, who drop the necessary materials for creating the best armor in Redemption for the vanilla classes. If you are struggling to defeat the Duo, you can obtain the crafting materials from the easier Thorn and Eaglecrest Golem rematches at the cost of the Ancient Deity Duo's unique drops.
Endgame[ | ]
After defeating Nebuleus you will have reached the current Endgame of the Mod of Redemption. More content will arise in future updates of the mod, but for now the weapons you obtain from Nebuleus are some of the most powerful weapons in the game. If you're playing on Normal Mode, challenge yourself with Expert Mode! Nebuleus has an entire second phase to her fight which can only be accessed in Expert Mode, as well as some exclusive drops. What those exclusive drops may be is up for you to discover...
