Lightning Rods are crafted using Iron Bars and will force Lightning Strikes to hit them, safely absorbing their energy when placed on fire immune blocks. Their range is 80 tiles horizontally, but only 50 tiles during Summer Hurricanes. Note that the rod will not work if ANY blocks are positioned above it, even including high up blocks such as floating islands.

Lightning Rod Area (Terraria Overhaul) — The area that will be affected by the lightning rod once struck. Be careful to not have any flammable blocks in this space.
