Terraria Overhaul updates Magic Weapons for more diverse, quicker and more satisfying gameplay.
Changes & Additions[ | ]
Charged Shots[ | ]
Most magic weapons can now be charged by holding down Right Mouse Button ⚒ Use / Attack. Charged up attacks use x3 times more mana and will shoot out tripled amount of projectiles.
Since charged shots remove Auto-fire and make some previously automatic weapons hard to use, Overhaul doubles the amount of projectiles some super fast weapons like Crystal Storm shoot.
Mana Pickups[ | ]
Enemies will now always drop 3 mana stars that each grant 5% of the player's max mana (10 with 200 max mana) when there's at least one player around who's in need of mana. However, all mana stars now disappear after 5 seconds once dropped, inviting Magic users to move around quicker in order to collect them.
Mana Regeneration[ | ]
Mana Regeneration is always at the maximum rate, no longer accelerating over time, although said maximum rate has been slightly reduced to compensate.
Headshots[ | ]
All projectiles can inflict headshots when Overhaul is installed. Precisely hitting an enemy's head will increase damage dealt by 5%, always dealing at least 1 extra point of damage. An exclamation point (!) will appear after damage numbers whenever a headshot occurs.
Other Changes[ | ]
- Amber Staff and Water Bolt damage stats were increased.
- Magic Dagger shoots three daggers In a row when fired.
- Meteor Staff now fires meteors from the staff itself instead of from the sky.
