Music Discs are items dropped by Bosses with 1/3 (33%) chance. As the name suggests, they contain music on them and can be played in a Gramophone. Music Discs and Gramophones differ from Music Boxes a lot, as Gramophones play music as in-world sounds that do not replace game's current Music, and Music Discs mostly carry classic compositions or really old songs that have nothing to do with Terraria.
