Seasons are a feature added to the Terraria Overhaul mod. Each season changes the Forest biome and will affect the enemies that will spawn.
Each season lasts 12 days. A Calendar can be used to check how many days are left until the next season begins.
There is an option during world creation to choose which starting season is preferred. It is recommended by the player to choose spring, but some seasons can be beneficial to the player like autumn where the player can harvest pumpkins for armour and pies.
Spring
“Spring is here! Birds are singing, flowers are blooming, as there is nothing to worry about.

Spring is the first and the most calm season, representative of the classic Terraria setting.
Environment:
- Forest grass turns into the standard green color.
- Surface returns to normal lighting.
- Sunflowers act like normal and give players the Happy! buff.
- Bushes can grow on all kinds of grass.
Enemies:
- Small Bees have a very small chance of spawning when tall grass is cut.
Shops/Herbs
- The Dryad always sells Daybloom Seeds and Waterleaf Seeds.
- Dayblooms, Moonglows and Waterleafs will mature much faster.
In Evil Biomes:
- The Corruption and The Crimson become much weaker visually. It's even possible to hear birds singing there during this season.
During Spring in real life, Main Menu music theme changes to (Vanilla) Theme of The Hallow if the custom Title track can't play.
Summer
“Summer has arrived! Bees swarm, weather frenzies and fires spread much faster than usual!

Summer is the second and the first somewhat dangerous season.
Environment:
- Forest grass turns into a lime-green hue.
- Surface is much brighter during dusks, nights and dawns.
- Hurricanes have a 1/2 chance of occurring when a Rain starts.
- During normal rains, the Mushroom Theme is played and enemy spawns are increased by almost 3 times.
- Fires spread 2 times faster than usual when it's not raining.
- Lightning Strikes have x2 chance to occur during normal rains, and x5 chance during Hurricanes.
- All Water that's not underground and isn't covered in Snow/Clouds, begins to evaporate.
- Sunflowers still act like normal and give players the Happy! buff.
- Bushes can grow on all kinds of grass.
- If no event is ongoing, enemy spawns are increased by 10%.
Enemies:
- Beehives start to appear across the whole surface.
- Red Slimes and Large Bees start constantly spawning on surface.
- Small Bees have a very large chance of spawning when tall grass is cut.
- Queen bee may randomly spawn at dawn. 2 in Hardmode.
Shops/Herbs:
- The Dryad always sells Fireblossom Seeds.
- Fireblossoms will mature much faster
In Evil Biomes:
- The Corruption and The Crimson return to its Vanilla looks, preparing to bloom in Autumn.
During Summer in real life, Main Menu music theme changes to The Ocean Theme if the custom Title track can't play.
Autumn
“Autumn comes in and out goes the light! Prepare for darker days and nights, constant floods and The Corruption/The Crimson enraging!

Autumn is the third season the players will encounter. While it may be calm in Forests during it, it can be very dangerous to visit The Corruption or The Crimson.
Environment:
- Forest grass will turn orange-green.
- Surface will be a bit darker at all times.
- Floods will occur 33% more likely during Rain.
- Pumpkins will grow on grass on their own.
- Normal Trees will scatter leaves around them and their leaves will turn into a shade of yellow and orange.
- Bushes can grow, but only in The Corruption or The Crimson.
- Sunflowers will start dying and giving players the 'Depressed.' debuff.
Enemies:
- Green Slimes will be replaced by Yellow Slimes.
- Ravens will start spawning, but will only become hostile at night.
Shops/Herbs:
- The Dryad always sells Blinkroot Seeds.
- Blinkroots and Deathweed will mature much faster.
In Evil Biomes:
- Evil Blooming will take place.
During Autumn in real life, Main Menu music theme changes to the Rain Theme if the custom Title track can't play.
Winter

Winter is the fourth and the last season players will discover.
Environment:
- Forest grass will turn deep green.
- Nights will be pitch black.
- Floods and Lightning Strikes will not occur during Rain.
- Water on the surface will freeze, turning into Thin Ice.
- Fires will spread 15% slower.
- Snow will cover most of the surface.
- Rains will be replaced by Blizzards even in the Forest biome.
- Most animals and critters will stop spawning, with only Cardinals and Penguins (they will start spawning everywhere) remaining.
- Bushes won't grow at all.
- Sunflowers will remain dead and will be giving players the 'Depressed.' debuff.
- If no event is ongoing, enemy spawns are increased by 10%.
Enemies:
- All normal Zombies will be replaced by Zombie Eskimos.
- Green Slimes will be replaced by Ice Slimes.
- If it's Pre-Hardmode, Forest Wolves will start spawning during night even when it's not Full Moon outside.
- If it's Hardmode, Wolves and Ice Elementals will start spawning at night even in Forest biome.
Shops/Herbs:
- The Dryad always sells Shiverthorn Seeds.
- Shiverthorns will mature much faster.
In Evil Biomes:
- The Corruption and The Crimson finish blooming and return to its Vanilla looks.
During Winter in real life, Main Menu music theme changes to the Ice Theme if the custom Title track can't play.
