Changes in Overhaul[ | ]
Main Beam[ | ]
Fires a constant beam of energy that does not pierce enemies. In this mode, the Space Gun deals around 15 (x0.8 of vanilla damage) per hit that happens every 4th tick (x0.275 of vanilla's use time of 16). This mode is the most effective against single targets, except when fighting heavily armored enemies, in which case it's better to use the alternate fire.
Alternate Fire[ | ]
By right-clicking (⚷ Open / Activate) you can fire a piercing green laser, this does slightly more damage (19, full vanilla damage) per shot happens each 12th tick (x0.75 of vanilla use time of 16) and works as it does in vanilla. This mode is best used for fighting multiple targets or armored enemies.
Mana Usage[ | ]
- Overhaul changes Meteor armor's set bonus: it no longer completely removes mana usage from the Space Gun, but now instead just reduces it by 66%.
- It now uses approximately 45 mana per second when using its primary mode, and 6 mana per shot in the alternate firing mode.
