The Soul of the Guide is a Pre-Hardmode boss that can be fought after the first night. It summon item costs 3 Iron Bars and 1 Lens in an Anvil.

Behavior

The Soul of the Guide only has one phase in where he summons minions and orbiting blue flames while shooting arrows with his True Wooden Bow.

Tips

• If the player has Calamity Mod installed, he can use a Mandible Bow with Frostburn Arrows.
  • If the player has no other mods installed, he can use a Silver or Tungsten bow.
• If the player has Joostmod installed, you can use a Cacturn to easily kill him.
• For melee users, a Malaise, or Artery can be useful if it is available. If not, a Rally will help.
• For mages, a Diamond Staff or (if available) a Vilethorn or Crimson Rod can help.

Trivia

• Killing the Guide's soul isn't necessary, but since he drops Soul Shards, which are used to craft Soul Hearts, it could be counted as an easy way to get extra health.
