The Vilelash is a Corruption-only whip with a range of around 14 tiles, dealing critical hits around 12 to 14 tiles away. Like all whips, the Vilelash only deals critical hits at the tip, cannot go through walls or deal random critical hits, and pierces all enemies it hits.
Its best Modifiers are Godly and Ruthless. Although Ruthless does not provide any extra critical hit chance, due to the better base damage increase, a Ruthless Vilelash can deal more damage than a Godly one. The only advantage a Godly Vilelash has over a Ruthless one is Knockback.
The Vilelash has slightly less reach than the Vilethorn, by a difference of 1 tile.
The Vilethorn deals magic damage, while the Vilelash deals melee damage.
The Vilelash only hits an enemy once per attack, while the Vilethorn hits multiple times per attack, and essentially stun-locks an enemy. The Vilelash is nowhere near as effective for stun-locking, but one hit from the tip of it can knock an enemy away. Overall, these two weapons perform two different jobs compared to each other.
